FAQs

Fit

Our styles allow for some crossover in sizing to allow for the fact that everyone is a different shape with different proportions. For example, if you have a 35 inch bust and a B cup, you would be very likely to still feel great in a size S top even though our guide recommends a M.

Refer to our fit notes on each product page as a guide and if you still have any questions, send us a note at hello@segaraswim.com and we’ll be happy to advise you.

Customers with larger busts have given us great feedback on the Hanalei and Kona tops. However, since each of us has a unique shape, women with DD busts and up may find that they prefer the support that hardware provides.

Our current styles are pullover and hardware free, meaning they do not have ties, boning, molding, or clasps of any kind. We hope to explore other styles that in the future. The exception is the Santorini Top, which does contain unobstructive boning on the sides for support.

We've received great feedback from women with smaller busts (AA-A) across all of our styles. None of our styles have padding because we feel it gets in the way of free movement.

Here’s a trick that we wished we had learned years ago. The secret to a better looking swimsuit booty is to not cover it with a large piece of fabric! As counterintuitive as this may be, covering your entire behind with fabric tends to make it look and feel like you’re wearing a diaper.

Our Hanalei and Santorini bottoms are both moderate coverage, for those of you dipping your toes into the cheeky pool.

Care

So that you’re able to enjoy your suits for a long time to come, we recommend following these care guidelines. This applies to all swimsuits, not just ours!

Avoid Rough Surfaces - To keep your suits in the best possible shape, avoid sitting or rubbing against rough surfaces.

Hand Wash Cold - Hand wash in cold water immediately after wearing, with or without a mild soap. The cold water helps maintain color and elasticity. If you can’t get a proper hand wash in right after wearing, try to give it a quick rinse in fresh water as soon as possible.

Squeeze Out Excess Water - Squeeze out the excess water, resisting the temptation to wring the water from your suit. Wringing the fabric will stretch it out prematurely. Our favorite way to get excess water out is to lay our suits flat on a towel, roll it up, and then step on the rolled towel.

Lay Flat in Shade - Lay your suit on a flat surface to dry in the shade.

Avoid Washing Machines, Dryers and Irons - While these inventions make our lives easier, they weren't designed for swimwear. Take the extra minute to hand wash your swimsuits and they'll thank you.

BOTTOMS

All measurements are in inches. Our bottoms hit at the hip so the hip measurement is a more accurate indicator of your size. We include waist/pant size as a reference since we know that not all of us know our hip measurements.
